Shouts to Boiler Room with the debut of Dev79 & Riko Dan “Snapper Riddim” – first time this track has been heard in full, originally an exclusive from 2006’s Slit Jockey Mixtape Vol 1! Forthcoming on our “10 Years of Grime” label compilation coming July 17th!

Slit Jockey Records is celebrating its 10 year anniversary!!! The imprint is notable as the first “grime” label in the US and really its still the one of the only stateside labels focused on grime. They started off the anniversary year with a bang, featuring a label takeover on Juno Download and then Starkey & Dev79 did an official Serato mix of all Slit Jockey tracks. Now moving into the next phase of anniversary plans, the label has sifted through the back catalog and curated an exciting and comprehensive ‘Best Of’ collection entitled “10 Years of Grime” – highlighting Slit Jockey’s unique stamp on the movement.

“10 Years of Grime” features 38 tracks spanning the entire label catalog and besides the material itself, what’s impressive is how much these tracks stand the test of time and feel as vital and relevant today as when they initially dropped.

Theres also a couple rare gems unearthed here, Starkey’s remix of Sduk & Central Spillz “Fire” was never released before and the Riko Dan vocal of Dev79’s “Snapper Riddim” was only available in mixed format on the Slit Jockey Mixtape from 2006. Some exclusives to heat up the package that much more!
